Chelsie Kay Hightower is a ballroom dancer who was born on July 21, 1989. She is most known for being a professional dance partner, trainer, and choreographer on the ABC competition show Dancing with the Stars from Seasons 8 to 15, excluding Season 13.
Chelsie Kay Hightower was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and raised in Orem, Utah, with her mother and father until their divorce in 2006. She began dancing at the age of nine and has been receiving formal training since the age of fourteen. She is a ballroom, jazz, ballet, and hip-hop dancer. Hightower has been in musical theatres all throughout the country and earned her first national title when she was 11 years old. She was a finalist at the 2005 U.S. Worlds and competed for Team USA at the British Open in Blackpool, England. She attended Utah Valley University after graduating from Timpanogos High School.
She made her television debut at the age of 18 on season four of So You Think You Can Dance. She is best known for her Emmy-nominated performances with Mark Kanemura in a remake of Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” choreographed by Nappytabs and with Joshua Allen in Dmitry Chaplin’s “A Los Amigos.” After making it to the top six on the American reality TV show, she was eliminated on July 31, 2008.
